Mexico and counting down......

It is so hard to believe that we have already been in Mexico 4 months. I feel like it has just flown by. We have met so many wonderful friends and love living right in the heart of Mexican families. We have grown, learned, laughed, cried, but mostly have seen how important family is. Anything that is worth fighting for usually takes work and commitment. Noah has fallen in love with dolphins even more than he was before....Emily thinks she is a princess, and RD still loves surfing. Noah recently entered a surf contest and came in 2nd...RD came in 4th overall. We have fed a local dog which now barks at the door some mornings....Valentina is her name and the kids love her. I tell them she is the kind of dog we can feed but don't touch :)  Recently my parents visited for 2 weeks. Such a great time having them here....Noah, Emily and I all had our birthdays here. RD helped build a couple homes for a poor community and we played with the kids in that community with a local YWAM group. We feel blessed to have had this time. Many people ask how we did it re: money etc....and we have had all kinds of comments but the truth is....when you do things in life that you love...somehow they work out and usually they are things that money can't buy. This won't happen next year...but I am so thankful it did this year.

Valentina our Mexican Dog

Noah has a huge heart for animals. He thinks he would like to be a vet when he is older. It wouldn't surprise me at all. He sees the best in every animal he sees and always wants to feed them.
She eats lots of things but cheese seems to be her favorite

                            We love you Valentina

Parents visiting from Canada

I never thought I would see the day my mom came to visit us in Mexico...but her brace soul did it. We enjoyed sitting by the pool, going to the beach, sharing historical sights and good food with them. We celebrated our birthdays together, went deep sea fishing with Dad, crashed their hotel room many nights, enjoyed Happy Hour and in Mexico that seems like all the time when you become friends with them, gave them rides in Pulmonias, taxis, a good ol' Mexican bus ride and so much more. Thanks for coming and making our February. We love you and can't wait for you to visit us in Hawaii too.
